What is the Difference Between Nutrition Counseling and Medical Weight Loss?
Nutrition Counseling
Nutrition counseling is for children and adults who need to gain or lose weight and/or have medical conditions including but not limited to: Diabetes Type I or II, High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, Fertility, PCOS, Food Allergy, Gout, Gerd, other Gastrointestional related conditions, and Eating disorders. At your first nutrition session, a registered dietitian will meet with you for a nutrition assessment. We will then most likely recommend follow-up nutrition sessions. If you have weight to lose we also recommend metabolism testing so we can accurately determine how many calories you need at this first assessment.
Medical Weight Loss Program
If you want to lose weight fast and safe, have more than 30 pounds to lose and have weight related medical conditions such as; diabetes and/or high blood pressure we will most likely recommend our weight loss program because we want you to get the weight off as soon as possible and maintain your new weight. Our Weight Loss Program will help you lose more weight and get off your medications in a shorter period of time with out sacrificing your health than traditional weight loss.
